Digital X-Rays & Imaging
Good dentistry starts with a clear picture. Our x-rays are fully digital, which means they require about 75% less radiation than traditional film and appear on the screen the moment they are taken. There is no waiting for anything to develop, and no film or processing chemicals to throw away.
Because the images are digital, we can enlarge them, adjust the contrast, print a copy for you, or send them electronically to your insurance company. That last part matters more than it sounds: a clear image attached to a claim is the difference between a covered treatment and a denied one.

Digital sensors need a fraction of the exposure film needed. We still only take images when there is a reason to, and we will tell you what that reason is.

The intraoral camera
A small camera that shows lesions, cavities and fracture lines on the screen beside you. It also captures before-and-after images and lets us track a questionable spot over time instead of guessing.

For crowns, guards and other appliances we can scan your teeth digitally rather than filling your mouth with impression material.

Digital dental x-rays are among the lowest-dose imaging in medicine, and ours use roughly 75% less radiation than the film they replaced. We also shield you and only take images when they will change what we do next.
How often do I need x-rays?
It depends on your history. Someone with no recent cavities needs them far less often than someone with active decay or gum disease. If you have recent images from another office, send them over and we may not need new ones at all.
Can I get copies of my images?
Yes. We can print them, email them, or send them straight to another dentist or your insurance company. They are your records.
